Paneer Tikka is a popular vegetarian tandoori snack, usually served as a starter and can be easily made at home. In this recipe paneer along with cubes of onion, tomato and capsicum is marinated with masala and then grilled or baked in the oven. Paneer Tikka

Ingredients:
Paneer / Cottage cheese - 250 gms, cut into 2*2 inch cubes
Onion - 1 large, cut into square shaped
Tomato - 1 large, pulp removed, cut into square shaped
Capsicum - 1 large, cut into square shaped

For the marinade:
Roasted gram flour - 2 tbsp
Hung curd - 1/4 cup
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
Kashmiri red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Black pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
Lemon juice - 1 tsp
Salt - to taste
Oil - 4 tbsp

Method: 
In a mixing bowl, add all the ingredients mentioned under marinade except oil and turmeric

Heat oil to smoking point, switch off the flame, add turmeric and immediately pour it over the marinade. Mix well
Add in the paneer pieces and the chopped veggies, coat everything well with the masala

Put it in the refrigerator for minimum 2 hours, remove and bring to room temperature

Skewer it alternatively, if you are using metal skewer grease them or if you are using wooden skewers, soak them in cold water for 20 minutes before using

Grill in a preheated oven at 200C for 15-20 minutes or until the edges of the paneer starts to turn brown. Rotate it once in between, ie., after 7-8 minutes for even cooking

Yummy paneer tikka is ready to be served with chutney, wedges of lemon, onion rings and tomato slices
