Moong daal khichdi

Ingredients:
Moong daal - 1/2 cup
Rice - 1/2 cup
Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Peppercorns - 6-7
Cinnamon - 1
Green chillies - 2, slit lengthwise
Ginger paste - 1 tsp
Salt - to taste
Ghee
Method:
Wash moong daal and rice together and soak for 30 minutes

In a pressure cooker add ghee and splutter cumin seeds


Add black peppercorns and cinnamon stick

Add green chillies and ginger and cook for few seconds

Then add the rice and daal, salt and turmeric along with 2 1/4 cups of water and cook till 1 whistle

Simmer it for 5 minutes and keep aside till the steam is released

Open the lid and mix gently

Place it in serving plates, drizzle ghee on top and have immediately
